Anaerobic facilities

The Department has a number of Belle Technology glove boxes. These chambers are designed to maintain an atmosphere of less than 5 ppm of oxygen enabling experiments to be carried out in a predominantly oxygen-free environment.

We have three Belle Technology glove boxes housing the following equipment:

• Jasco V-630 UV/VIS spectrophotometer 
• Applied Photophysics stopped-flow spectrometer (with photo diode array detector) 
• Douglas Instruments Oryx 4 crystallisation robot & microscope
