HALOGEN

The interdisciplinary HALOGEN database was developed to support the data management of the researchers in the Roots of the British initiative, and is now central to the work of the Impact of Diasporas programme. HALOGEN was part-funded by JISC in the Research Data Management theme.

HALOGEN hosts geospatial data covering the etymology of English place names, the 1881 census, genetics data, and the portable antiquities data.

The HALOGEN geospatial search facility allows the user to search, and map, specific data sets.
