What the collection contains
The recordings in the collection document the opening of the station with the first programmes broadcast on 8th November 1967 and cover various anniversary programmes over the years. Seven scrapbooks compiled by Maurice Ennals contain memorabilia from the first years of the station. Various publications including the Radio Times and the BBC staff paper Ariel, with articles on Radio Leicester, are also contained in the collection along with Maurice Ennal's personal work files.
