Learning
Oral history is a great resource for learning.
Not only is the oral history process an accessible way for people to record their own stories and develop their storytelling skills, conducting interviews can also help learners to develop their skills in communication, particularly listening.
The outputs from oral history - recorded interviews - offer a way-in to the past and people's first-hand accounts of events, places and people can bring history to life in the classroom.
Our resources for learning use oral history as historical sources to explore stories and time periods. Discover what’s on offer by browsing the topics below.
