Rosemary Deem Awards for Social Science Doctoral Researchers
Award value: maximum of £1,000 per individual doctoral researcher
Minimum of 10 awards per year
Applications reviewed on a three-monthly rolling basis until all funds awarded

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a social science researcher as considered by either:
- ESRC funding remit
- Panel C of REF 2021
- Must not be funded by the ESRC MGS, F100 studentships, or other funded studentships with substantial research delivery funds.
- Must be a campus based PGR and fully registered & started at point of application
- Activity cannot already be booked or have occurred
- Activity must be completed prior to thesis submission
- Consent to provide statement post-activity to Rosemary Deem (managed through DARO)
Eligible Expenditure
- Fieldwork and field trips
- Conference attendance with poster or oral presentation
- Similar activity to the above

- Supervisor supporting statement
