Course content
- Investigate a variety of aspects of vocabulary knowledge (e.g. collocation)
- learn more about academic register
- improve your understanding of differences between academic and non-academic vocabulary
- improve your understanding of discipline-specific vocabulary for your subject
- learn to use online tools to check how words are used in context
- learn to use AntConc software to analyse texts from your own reading lists in order to study the vocabulary that you need
- use the above knowledge to improve your writing
