Wondering where to start when you arrive? Take a look at our top shopping highlights to get you on your way.
Set
Everyone's favourite quirky gift shop, Set will inevitably become a go-to destination for greeting cards, presents, interior inspiration and more. They stock well known brands such as Ted Baker, CK, Orla Kiely and Sass and Belle, as well as local designers. From hilarious birthday cards to the perfect gift inspiration, you can pick up everything from individual pin badges to neon signs for your bedroom.
Shakup Records
A little corner of Camden in the heart of Clarendon Park. Shakup Records is a short walk from campus on Queens Road and stocks an eclectic mix of vinyl plus clothing and music equipment. Downstairs you can make the most of their listening room and spin your new record before deciding whether to buy it or not.
The Wardrobe
The Wardrobe is Leicester's longest running vintage clothing shop - they first opened back in 1988! Get your vintage Levi jackets, Fred Perry polos, college sweatshirts and Adidas and Nike vintage trainers. Aside from their vintage stock they have an excellent range of on trend brands and retro inspired sustainable clothing.
Highcross Shopping Centre
Highcross is home to many of the biggest brands. Urban Outfitters, New Look, H&M, Superdry, Zara and John Lewis... they're all under one roof. Alongside them sit some fabulous independent retailers and many of your go-to food and drink destinations including Turtle Bay and Nando's. Look out for the annual Highcross student takeover night where you can spend the evening snapping up one-off discounts from the retailers!
NADA Zero Waste
NADA is here to help you live a plastic free life. They sell a huge range of sustainable food items, with all stock sourced as locally as possible. Furthermore in store you'll also find cosmetics, feminine products, water bottles, cleaning products, household containers and much more. A one stop shop for a zero waste life.

I have found so many great independents since being in Leicester. There are some really unique little shops to discover when you're walking around the city.
