My PhD project started in September 2021 within the School of Chemistry. I am looking at volatile organic compounds being emitted from 3D printers and the impact of these compounds in relation to respiratory health. During this project, I will be taking samples to identify and quantify compounds using gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.
In 2021, I graduated with a Masters in Chemistry with Forensic Science from the University of Leicester. During my MChem project, I was looking at air quality over various cities during 2015-2021. This developed my interest in air quality measurements and led to me undertaking this PhD within air quality research.
