Guided tours

Guided tours are available to visiting groups by prior arrangement, and can be morning, afternoon or early evening (daylight permitting) at the Garden or Arboretum. A tour typically takes about 1.5 hours and can be followed with light refreshments at the end.

The Botanic Garden tours focus on the history and development of the garden, especially the restored Edwardian garden, the houses and landscape features of particular interest.

Throughout both tours, noteworthy plants are pointed out, together with information about their scientific and horticultural significance.

Costs

The tour costs £6 (incl. VAT) per person. There is a minimum charge of £60. 

Tea and cake provided by the Friends of the Botanic Garden is available at an additional £4.80 per person.
