At the University of Leicester Botanic Garden and Attenborough Arboretum, we focus on the importance of global biodiversity. You can see and learn about a wide range of plants that grow in our extensive collections from around the world.
The Garden grounds and toilets are open
The Botanic Garden re-opened to visitors, following the closure owing to Covid, on 4 May 2021. The toilet facilities are also open. However, please note that the greenhouses will remain closed for the time being.
Please follow the Covid code of conduct (posted at the gates) when you do go to the Garden.
The horticultural staff have worked valiantly to restore the Garden after its 13-month closure, but this work is ongoing so please indulge us while it goes on: not everywhere will look at its best!
