At the University of Leicester Botanic Garden and Attenborough Arboretum, we focus on the importance of global biodiversity. You can see and learn about a wide range of plants that grow in our extensive collections from around the world.
The Garden grounds are re-opening on 4 May 2021
Although the Botanic Garden is currently closed owing to Covid, we are pleased to announce that it will re-open to visitors on 4th May 2021. Note that there will be no toilet facilities at first and the greenhouses will remain closed for the time being.
Please follow the Covid code of conduct (posted at the gates) when you do go to the Garden.
The horticultural staff have worked valiantly to restore the Garden after its 13-month closure, but this work is ongoing so please indulge us while it goes on: not everywhere will look at its best!
