College Court
If you are staying in accommodation before the Teacher and Adviser Conference or joining us for the Networking dinner on Thursday 3rd April, you will need to make your way to College Court.
If you are travelling by car, there is free parking available at The College Court accommodation.
If you are travelling to us by train or coach, you can use public transport from Leicester Train Station or St Margaret's Bus and Coach Station to College Court. here are the options.
- Coach: from Saint Margaret's Bus Station walk four minutes to Haymarket Bus Station (Stand HH), take bus number 44 towards South Leicestershire College, get off at the Arboretum stop. College Court is a four-minute walk from there.
- Train: From Leicester Train Station, head to London Road, bus stand EE and take bus number 44 towards South Leicestershire College, get off at the Arboretum stop. College Court is a four-minute walk from there.
Alternatively, you can order an Uber to the address: College Court, Knighton Rd, Knighton, Leicester LE2 3UF.
If you travel to us by train or coach, we are organising a bus to transport you from College Court to our Freeman’s site on the morning of the conference. The bus will be departing the College Court car park at 8.15am. There will be secure luggage storage on our site for you to store your bags during the conference.
The Freemen’s Common multi-storey car park
If you are travelling to us by car, on the morning of Friday 4 April you will be able to park in the Freemen’s Common multi-storey car park which is next to where our conference is being held. Address: 11 Putney Road, Leicester LE2 7TF.
If you have previously notified us of your registration plate, you will be able to simply drive into the car park and leave via the electric barrier without making a payment. The link to register your car will be found in your confirmation email.
If you haven’t notified us ahead of the conference, you will need to enter your registration number into the car parking payment machine and pay for your parking as you plan to exit the car park before you get into your car.
Use LE2 7TF in Google Maps or your SatNav. If our carpark becomes full, you can park in local pay and display carparks.
Please note there is no right turn to the multi-story when approaching southbound from Welford Road (e.g. from the city/main campus). The car park can be approached when heading northbound up Welford Road at the Putney Road/Welford Road junction or heading southbound from the city to access Putney Road via Counting House Road.
Sir Bob Burgess Building
We’re delighted to be hosting our 17th annual Teacher and Advisor Conference in our state-of-the-art teaching and learning centre, the Sir Bob Burgess Building.
The building is located just off Welford Road, just round the corner from the multi-storey car park and is a short distance from main campus.
You will see that all conference sessions are taking place in this building. You can find the rooms where the central sessions are being held and those you opted for on your personalised programme. Please ask any members of staff for guidance on the day if you need directions or assistance.
