Postgraduates

India – Leicester Anniversary Discount

To celebrate 50 years since our first Indian graduate in 1976, the University of Leicester is proud to announce the India – Leicester Anniversary Discount, for all Indian-domiciled students starting a postgraduate course in January 2026, April 2026 and September 2026.

Under this scheme tuition fees will be:

  • Master's or MRes: £18,500
  • Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip): £12,330
  • Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert): £6,165

The University of Leicester’s long-standing and close ties with India are reflected not only in our growing academic and professional collaborations, such as our recent successful partnership with the Apollo Hospitals Group, but also in the city of Leicester itself; home to the UK’s largest Indian community outside London. These connections are further reinforced on a national level through the recently signed 2025 UK-India Free Trade Agreement, which underscores Britain’s commitment to strengthening our relationship with India.

To mark these key milestones, we are delighted to offer our discount to Indian domiciled students choosing to study any postgraduate taught programme (excluding PGCE) with us. This is part of our wider commitment to fostering global connections and supporting access to world-class education.

Alongside this new initiative, the University continues to offer a wide range of scholarships and discounts designed to support international students from across the world. We are committed to ensuring that talented students, wherever they are from, can join our diverse and inclusive community.
