ICAEW Foundation Bursary
The ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) Foundation Bursary has been established thanks to the generous support of the ICAEW Foundation.
This bursary is intended to support a postgraduate student in an Accounting and Finance discipline who is experiencing financial challenges during their studies at Leicester.
The successful applicant will receive a one-off bursary of £5,000 during the 2025/26 academic year. One bursary is available.
Eligibility
To be considered for the ICAEW Bursary, you must meet all of the following criteria:
1. Be studying for one of the following postgraduate degree course at University of Leicester:- Accounting, Finance and Management MSc (for September 2025 and January 2026 intakes)
- Finance MSc (for September 2025 and January 2026 intakes)
2. Be studying full time and campus based Have been assessed for fee status as a 'Home' student.
3. Have a household income of £30,000 or below, as confirmed by the Student Loans Company, or alternative evidence produce upon request.
Awards may be withdrawn if we later become aware that successful applicants have not met eligibility criteria or have provided false information.

The deadline for applying for this bursary is 10am on Monday 2 March 2026. Applications made after this date will not be considered.
Notification of outcome
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications by Tuesday 31st March 2026.
