At an extraordinary meeting of full council on Tuesday 30 March, Oadby & Wigston Borough Council granted the University of Leicester Honorary Freedom of the Borough and bestowed the title of Honorary Freeman upon the University - the highest honour the Borough can bestow.

Phage biology

Phage biology is the study of all aspects of bacteriophages (phages). Martha Clokie and colleagues have specifically worked with bacteriophages that target Clostridium difficile. Bacteriophage are studied with respect to therapy and diagnosis.
