Fire in Maurice Shock Medical Sciences Building - media statements

The lab was damaged by fire and the vicinity affected by smoke and water damage. The fire was dealt with by the fire service within minutes. Over the weekend, University teams along with other services will assess the building for the extent of the damage.

Born too soon, very premature infants are particularly vulnerable and need appropriate care. The European project EPICE (Effective Perinatal Intensive Care in Europe) examines how medical practices based on scientific evidence are incorporated into the care of these neonates.
