Information for visitors

Getting here

Public transport

The University of Leicester campus is about 15-20 minutes' walk from Leicester Railway Station, which is on a direct line from Birmingham, Sheffield and London St Pancras.

The Arriva 48 bus runs frequently from St Margaret's Bus Station, via the Railway Station, to University Road. (The return bus is the 47.)

Car

Car parking is available close to campus in the University's Freemen’s Common multi-storey car park at a discounted rate of £2.50 for the day. Maximum height is 2.1m!

Please note there is no right turn to the multi-storey when approaching southbound from Welford Road (e.g. from the city/main campus). The car park can be approached when heading northbound up Welford Road at the Putney Road/Welford Road junction, or heading southbound from the city to access Putney Road via Counting House Road.

There are also Leicester City Council pay and display car parks close to campus.

Food and drink

There will be food and drink available to purchase on site at Starbucks in the Students' Union and in the Library Cafe throughout the day.

Photography

Professional photography and filming (by Nick Osborne) will take place throughout the event. Photographs may be used on our website, social media and for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed please let the photographer know.

Feedback

We are working in partnership with LeicSurvey® to gather feedback. QR codes to our survey will be available across the venue and we will have colleagues gathering feedback throughout the event. Your feedback will help us to shape future events and programmes.
