Science Fiction Collection at Liverpool John Moores University
The aim of the Science Fiction Collection is simple, and it hasn’t changed since day one. For the advancement of learning and ennoblement of life. That means supporting you and working together to make a difference in the world. We also foster a culture of innovation through ground-breaking research with real-world impact.
British Library
The British Library is the national library of the UK. Our shelves hold over 170 million items – a living collection that gets bigger every day.
Although our roots extend back centuries, we collect everything written today, tomorrow, and decades into the future. We have millions of books, but we have so much more. Our London and Yorkshire sites have everything from newspapers to sound recordings, patents, prints and drawings, maps, and manuscripts.
Science Museum
The Science Museum aims to inspire visitors with award-winning exhibitions, iconic objects and stories of incredible scientific achievement. The museum’s world-class collection forms an enduring record of scientific, technological and medical advancement from across the globe.
Freeman Air and Space Institute
The Freeman Air and Space Institute (FASI) provides independent and original research and analysis of air and space power issues. FASI was established in 2020 thanks to funding from the Royal Air Force (RAF) through the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL). Based in the School of Security Studies, King's College London, the Institute is an interdisciplinary initiative dedicated to generating an understanding of air and space power affairs in defence and security.
FASI seeks to inform scholarly, policy and doctrinal debates in a rapidly evolving strategic environment, characterised by transformative technological change, which is increasing the complexity of the air and space domains.
The Freeman Institute places a priority on identifying, developing and cultivating air and space thinkers in academia and industry, as well as informing and equipping air and space education provision at King’s and beyond.
European Space Policy Institute
The European Space Policy Institute, founded in 2003, is the independent think tank for space based in Vienna, Austria – the world’s capital of space diplomacy. ESPI is supported by its 21 member organisations and Advisory Council composed of internationally recognised experts from a range of domains.
National Space Centre
The National Space Centre is a charity, a science and discovery centre, a visitor attraction and an educational facility. But more than that, it is home to a passionate team of individuals that truly believe in our mission to get people excited about space and to help develop the next generation of scientists and engineers.
Space Skills Alliance
The Space Skills Alliance is a think tank, consultancy, and backbone organisation addressing space skills shortages. We’re experts in space skills, training, and recruitment.
As a think tank, we help the policy-making process by publishing data and reports that are as rigorous as academic research and as accessible as journalism.
As a consultancy, we provide expert advice to organisations looking to improve their skills pipelines, not only recommending solutions, but also helping to institutionalise more effective processes.
As a backbone organisation, we provide tools for the benefit of the whole sector to improve the way organisations in the space sector work together to address common skills challenges.
