Thesis/Dissertation printing and binding
Print Services is a ‘one stop shop’ providing printing and binding services tailored to meet the exact submission specifications required by the University of Leicester, other institutions, and your bespoke projects.
Printing and binding
All prices stated below are based on single-sided colour printing using premium grade white paper. The following three binding options are included within these prices: soft perfect, spiral and wire.
Please note: hard case binding is not included within this option, and additional charges for this specialist product are outlined in the hard case binding section.

- 1 Copy: £20.00

Pages 101-200

Pages 201-300

For documents over 300 pages, please email your requirements or PDF for a quotation.
Files to be emailed in PDF format to printservices@le.ac.uk. Files (above 32mb) please use a file‑transfer service. Two working day service for the above options and six working days for hard case bound.

Binding styles
We offer four binding options to give your work a professional finish. Please note that none of the prices below include printing.
You can book an appointment to have your work bound while you wait at our Chiswick Road production site. This service is available for soft perfect, spiral, and wire binding.
Hard case binding
- Price: £36 for the first copy, £33 for identical additional copies
Additional charge of £12.50 per copy for foil blocking on the front cover (not required for UOL specifications) - Drop‑off/collection: 12 Chiswick Road (appointment required)
- Timescale: 5 working days
Perfect binding
- Price: £5 per copy
- Capacity: Up to 400 pages
- Service: While‑you‑wait* (appointment required)
*24‑hour service for documents over 300 pages
Spiral binding
- Price: £5 per copy
- Capacity: Up to 250 pages
- Service: While‑you‑wait (appointment required)
Wire binding
- Price: £5 per copy
- Capacity: Up to 250 pages
- Service: While‑you‑wait (appointment required)
Payment
Should you not have a University of Leicester departmental cost code then we will send you a secure checkout link through the University’s payment system all work to be paid prior to production.
Delivery
Free delivery to any University of Leicester department, or you may collect in person. UK, Europe and worldwide tracked delivery available. UK £6.00 per copy, European and International DHL delivery (email printservices@le.ac.uk for current rates).
