Ayub Khan

Ayub Khan graduated in January 2016 from the University of Leicester with a Masters in Data Analysis for Business Intelligence (Distinction). His final dissertation project was in partnership with the technologies division of the energy company E.ON, with the objective of building a predictive model for UK solar power generation throughout the year. This has major implications for predicting capacity on the National Grid.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Data Analysis for Business Intelligence (DABI) course. The main advantage of the MSc course is that both the Mathematics and Computer Science departments will equip you with the necessary skills needed by industry. For example, in my work with IBM I use SQL, Python and Linux in combination to query financial data stored in data warehouses. Next year, my role will encompass applying predictive analytics techniques. My advice for anyone considering the DABI course is to be prepared for a fast-paced, challenging, yet ultimately gratifying experience.

Bhavin Tandel

Bhavin Tandel graduated in January 2016 from the University of Leicester with a Masters in Data Analysis for Business Intelligence with specialisation in Data Mining and Operations Research (Distinction).

Being part of the first cohort of students studying for the Data Analysis for Business Intelligence (DABI) degree was a pretty exciting experience. Moreover, Leicester University has extensive footprint on research, which motivated me to opt for this university.
