Library and Learning Services
Bookable study spaces
18 August 2020
As part of the wider resumption of services from the Library, we are trialling bookable study spaces for academic staff and postgraduate research students from Wednesday 19th August, with the first spaces available from Thursday 20th August.
Bookable spaces are limited to part of the first floor of the David Wilson Library whilst we trial the service. You will not be able to browse print collections and there is currently no PC provision within the building. However, you will be able to bring your own devices and connect to the wireless network. Printing is available in the Print, Copy, Scan room on the first floor of the Library with a colour printer available in PC Zone 1.1.
Bookable study spaces are available for Staff and Postgraduate Research students and only they will be eligible at this time. All users in the Library will have to book a space and are not able to enter without having done so. Spaces may be booked between 11 am and 3pm Monday to Friday
Booking a space
Step One: Go to Book a Library Facility
Step Two: Sign in using your University IT Account
Step Three: You will now see a list of available days and spaces. Select the one that you would like to book.
Step Four: You will be sent a confirmation email. You will need to bring this with your ID badge when you come to the Library.
Step Five: On arrival signage will guide you to your allocated space on the first floor of the Library.
Remember that you will need to observe the guidance for working on campus, activate the SafeZone App by checking-in whilst on campus and you will need to wear a face covering.
