Student ID Cards

All students at the University of Leicester will receive their student ID card after they are fully registered.

  • For campus-based students, this is usually the end of your in-person ID check or Visa Checkpoint.
  • For distance-learning students, the card will be sent to you by post, after the start of your course.

Getting a new or replacement card

If you are a new student or a current student who has lost or had their card stolen, you will need to get a new or replacement student ID card.

Student ID card obligations

Your student ID card allows you access to University building, to borrow books from the Library, register your attendance at lectures and seminars.
