Leicester Clinical Trials Unit

Information for the public

This trial is open to participants with a diagnosis of Severe Aortic Stenosis but are not currently displaying any of the symptoms. There is a strict eligibility criterion which participants must meet and this will be determined by the treating clinician.

Browse a map showing the hospitals that are taking part in the EASY-AS trial or are interested in joining the EASY-AS trial. Only those hospitals participating in the trial can register you onto the EASY-AS trial.

We would suggest that if you are interested in participating in this trial that you read the information provided on this website, have discussions with friends, family and your GP. If you still want to proceed you will need to be referred to, or if you are already being treated for this condition, discuss with the team at one of the listed hospitals so they can confirm whether you are a suitable candidate for this trial.

Trial documents

Browse all the documentation that is available to participants looking for more information on the trial. Many of these documents will be provided by the treating centre and so will be localised to include hospital details. Amongst the information below is the Patient Information Sheet (PIS) and a Patient Information Leaflet (PIL). The PIL is a summary version of the PIS and if you are considering taking part in the trial we advise that you read the more detailed PIS so you can ask any questions to your treating clinician. We do have a number of translations for these documents in the translations section.

Patient and public involvement

Throughout the trial we have had patient and public involvement. This has been utilised throughout the design phase, helping us to put together the patient information sheets and other patient facing documents. We continue to seek support and guidance from our PPI members in order to make it easier for participants to join the trial and to promote the study.
