Mass Spectrometry: We currently have 12 Mass spectrometers including a Bruker TIMSToF HT with a EvoSep ENO front end, Thermo Q Exactive Classic with a Dionex 3000, 2x Waters Synapt G2 Si with Nanoflow Acquities, a Waters G2 with nanoflow Acquity, a Waters Vion MS coupled to an iClass UPLC and 3x Waters TQ-XS coupled to normal flow (mix of I and M class UPLCs). We also have Shimadzu LC-MS 8050 and 8060, both coupled to Nexera UPLCs and a Shimadzu AXIMA MALDI-MS.
Sample preparation: We have an Agilent Bravo Sample preparation platform, 96 Tip head for both proteomics and metabolomics. We also have a Waters Andrew+ pipetting robot.
Data processing capability: We have several Lenovo GPU driven PCs for routine proteomics using Progenesis QI for Proteomics. There is considerable data storage capacity in the Research File Store (RFS), which is a resilient and secure storage managed by University of Leicester IT Services where data is backed up every night and held in a separate building for 28 days.
We use DIA-NN and Spectronaut and can access ALICE High Performance Computing (HPC) which provides processing capability for high dimensional data to be processed in parallel thus opening up the scale of experiments we can conduct to several thousand samples and simultaneously bring down the time of processing significantly. We also have licences for PEAKS, PLGS and Progenesis for Proteomics QI.
