KIT - Japanese Language Programme

The University of Leicester and the Kanazawa Institute of Technology are starting a students exchange programme. Both departments, the English Language Teaching Unit and the Languages at Leicester programme are undertaking this endeavour.

This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself into Japanese culture and improve your language skills over the summer period.

Dates

DUE TO COVD-19 THIS YEARS KIT-JLP SUMMER PROGRAMME IS NOT ABLE TO TAKE PLACE.

Full Scholarship

We will offer 10 full scholarships, which include:

  • Full KIT-JLP Summer 2020 tuition fees
  • Accommodation
  • *Flight costs up to Â¥ 50,000 (around £350) per participant**

*This generous support towards students' Travel Expenses is funded by Aderans.

How does it work?

**Participants will be required to book their own flights. The cost of the flights will be reimbursed (up to ¥ 50,000). The first 50% will be reimbursed on confirmation of booking the flight and the remaining 50% upon submitting a 'KIT-JLP Summer 2020' experience report' once the programme has been completed.

Participants will be required to pay for their own food and entertainment.

Programme Overview

Japanese Language Classes will be taught primarily in Japanese, while the Japanese Seminar Class will be taught in English. All the participants will be enrolled in one 4-credit language course and one 4-credit culture course.
