Languages at Leicester
European Day of Languages (and from all over the world)
The European Day of Languages has been celebrated every year since 2001 on 26 September. Its aim is to encourage language learning across Europe. Languages at Leicester likes to take one step further and celebrate all Languages! Every year Languages at Leicester organises a free Languages and Cultures fair to celebrate the day.
The event will take place on Thursday 26 September 2024 from 5.00pm to 8.00pm at the University's Central Campus, in the Attenborough Seminar Block (first floor).
The fair will showcase activities in different European, as well as some non-European, languages. Participants will be encouraged to engage in activities and learn new words and facts related to the many languages we teach.
All activities will be led by our team of language tutors. It would be a great opportunity to meet your tutors in a relaxed and friendly event. There will be hot and cold drinks and some regional food to taste. All learners are welcome!
You are welcome to participate whether you are a university student, staff or member of the public (bring a friend!). If you have any enquiries feel free to contact us at lalenquiries@le.ac.uk or 0116 252 2662.
