School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences

Industrial Advisory Board (IAB)

Our Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) is a valuable resource for the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences. Comprising of members from various industries, which will bring diverse expertise in computer science and information technology to advise us on matters of curriculum planning, research collaborations, and emerging industry needs. Membership is by invitation only, and we welcome prominent alumni and contacts from various companies who have shown excellence in their areas of competence.

The IAB will meet bi-annually to discuss current research themes and their relevance to emerging industry needs, providing an opportunity to award prizes to the best projects and celebrate student success. Our members will actively suggest improvements for our undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes, providing valuable insights into industry trends and needs.

The IAB will aim to foster cooperation with key industrial partners in areas of common interest and will provide a forum for advice on the development of undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, student projects, industrial placements, and careers. Our school offers a research potential of international standing, available through joint projects, consultancy or contracts.

We welcome those interested in joining our IAB to contact us at cmsops@leicester.ac.uk.
