Research

The Centre for Regional and Local History is devoted to the study of local history nationally across England and Wales. Our research expertise is varied and wide-ranging, staff are often successful in receiving research grants from funding bodies including the AHRC, ESRC, Leverhulme Trust, Wellcome Trust and the Marc Fitch Fund.

Over 100 PhD theses have been successfully undertaken in the Centre since 1948, and 107 of these have now been digitised and made available online via the Centre's Thesis Collection.
