Course description
The MSc in International Management combines a comprehensive grounding in the functions of management with a critical analysis of the international context in which managers work. You will develop a critical understanding of the global economic, social and political environments which affect organisational life.
The course features a combination of modules which allow you to focus in depth on the international dimensions of management and business. You will develop an understanding of the main theories, models, frameworks and techniques of management and have the opportunity to explore these within an international framework.
This degree will equip you with the skills to critically evaluate the published literature on management and organisations and to synthesise the range of issues and perspectives which inform research and practice in the field. It will also develop your practical transferable skills including the ability to conduct independent research. You will have the opportunity to develop the expertise and knowledge to manage competently, capably and ethically.
This course has been designed to meet the needs of newly qualified graduates, as well as professional setting out in their careers as managers.

Entry requirements
A good UK honours degree or its equivalent or a postgraduate diploma from a recognised institution; or a relevant graduate level professional qualification.
English Language Requirements
IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If your first language is not English, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.

The MSc in International Management is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA).
The School of Business is an approved HE Partner of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and offers a dual award with the MSc Management. Upon successful completion of the MSc Management you will also be awarded CMI's Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice (subject to moderation). In addition, upon completion of the qualification, you will be also be awarded CMI's Foundation Chartered Manager status.

Teaching and learning
You will be taught through a mixture of methods, including seminars, lectures, group work, case study analysis and guided reading.
You will be assigned a personal tutor who has a pastoral role and can offer support and advice.
Your work will be assessed through both assignments and examinations, plus dissertation.
