Course description

Please note, this course is being advertised subject to approval.

Coaching has grown rapidly as a profession in the last decade and coaching psychology is now recognised as a specialist area of psychology with the recent formation of the Division of Coaching Psychology within the British Psychological Society.

This course is designed around the new Division of Coaching Psychology curriculum. It teaches the theory and practice of coaching psychology and how it can be applied in a variety of different settings.

Students will undergo a transformative journey with our MSc in Coaching Psychology, where the convergence of psychological principles and coaching methodologies creates profound personal and professional growth. This program, designed by experts in coaching psychology, combines the scientific rigor of traditional psychology with the artistry of coaching, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour and the tools to realise positive change for clients. You will explore advanced psychological theories, practice evidence-based coaching techniques, and develop the skills to empower individuals and organisations towards optimal performance. Our curriculum emphasises practical application, blending theory with practice, ensuring graduates are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the evolving coaching landscape.

Please note, this course is for applicants who already have a British Psychological Society (BPS) recognised undergraduate degree. If you do not hold one of these, please see the MSc in Psychological Coaching.
