Leicester Actuarial Sciences Society (LASS)

The Leicester Actuarial Science Society is led by Leicester students and is a part of the Institute and faculty of actuaries for student actuaries community across Leicester, Coventry & Peterborough. The society aims to expose students to a range of professionals in actuarial science, offering practical workshops, networking opportunities, international conferences, and information on the latest career opportunities. 

Mathematics Society

The Student Union Mathematics Society (SUMS) is hosted by friendly and approachable students and is a great way to join like-minded people for a range of social & academic events. First year membership is free, so it’s a good opportunity to get to know your peers & discover more about mathematics in your spare time.

Computer Science Society

When you become part of the Leicester Computer Science Society, you’ll join fellow students who thrive in technological activity, from programming to digital arts. Connect with fellow students for immersive events, including hackathons and join a community with a shared passion for technology.

CyberWomen@Leicester

CyberWomen@Leicester is a free initiative that aims to encourage female and non-binary students at UoL to learn more about cybersecurity and the career opportunities available - however, everyone is welcome regardless of their identity! We will be hosting events such as talks from industry professionals, Capture The Flag challenges, competitions and more! Open yourself up to the world of cybersecurity and join us at our events
