The study of interactions at the molecular level is of vital importance for engineering technological solutions that can have a strong societal impact. Whether it would be for modelling chemical phenomena in the Earth’s atmosphere or designing new materials, sophisticated analytical, spectroscopic, electrochemical and computational techniques can provide important tools that our teams employ for a wide range of applications. Particular areas of expertise are:
1) Monitoring of Earth’s atmosphere and improving air quality and air pollution.
2) Water remediation and tackling plastic particle pollution in oceans.
3) Development of fingerprinting techniques for forensic applications.
