Akoya PhenoCycler-Fusion
Information
In 2022 the facility obtained MRC funding for the purchase of the Akoya PhenoCycler-Fusion system (Lead applicant Dr Gareth Miles). The PhenoCycler-Fusion, now part of Quanterix, is a high-plex spatial biology platform that enables researchers to visualize and quantify more than 100 biomarkers simultaneously in a single tissue section at single-cell resolution. By combining automated fluidics with high-speed imaging, the system generates detailed maps of cellular phenotypes, interactions, and tissue architecture across whole-slide samples.
Designed for applications in cancer, immunology, neuroscience, and translational research, the PhenoCycler-Fusion supports FFPE and fresh-frozen tissues and provides an end-to-end workflow from staining and imaging to spatial data analysis. Its ability to reveal complex cellular relationships within intact tissues helps researchers gain deeper insights into disease mechanisms, biomarker discovery, and therapeutic response

Pricing
- £16.50 per hour for first 10 hours per run, after that £10 per hour + costs of consumables.
