Management and governance

The Diagnostic Development Unit governance structure consists of a Management Board and Steering Board. The former meets on a monthly basis, whilst the latter meets at six monthly intervals. Both include appropriate links to the NHS and also the Health Protection Agency. Lay representatives are included on the Steering Board.

Research links

The unit is linked with Cardio-vascular Biomedical Research Unit (CV BRU) at the Glenfield hospital. Initial discussions have been held and projects of mutual interest have been identified for further discussion and development.  Key members of the Diagnostics Development Unit have joined CV BRU as faculty members. We also have links with various medtech companies for projects.
