Archaeology and Ancient History

Undergraduate

Distance learning is a flexible and completely equivalent way of studying and getting academic qualifications in archaeology and ancient history. Our BA (Bachelor of Arts) courses are undergraduate courses, suitable for you if you would like to study for a recognised university qualification but do not have formal qualifications or previous experience of higher education.

We recommend you apply for level 1 (Certificate) to begin with before committing to the full BA. You gain a qualification at each level. Successful completion of level 1 entitles you to a Certificate (CertHE). Successful completion of levels 1 and 2 entitles you to a Diploma (DipHE), and successful completion of all 3 levels entitles you to a BA.

Our undergraduate distance learning courses also provide an alternative route onto our campus degrees. If you pass level 1, you can transfer on to campus study for your second year.

Ancient History and Classical Archaeology BA (also available as DipHE or CertHE)
1-6 years, by distance learning
