Human Mobility and Identity

Our final theme concentrates on the many burials of Fazzan. Through a combination of isotope, osteological and material analysis we are building up a picture of the composition of Garamantian society, the mobility of different groups and how these Saharan communities expressed ideas about identity through material culture, burial ritual and funerary structures.
