Professor Andrea Cooper
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tuberculosis is the biggest infectious killer in the world today. Andrea’s ground breaking research is redefining what can be done to combat the disease at a cellular, system and environmental level, breaking away from accepted paradigms and rethinking our understanding of the disease.
Our work and research focuses on harnessing the immune system to combat disease, in a complex and continually changing world. Our research is starting to change the way we approach tackling this disease.
