International pathways
The University of Leicester has launched a STEM International Foundation Year as well as a three International Year One programmes.
The STEM International Foundation course will offer you a route into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) subjects at undergraduate level, providing an ideal opportunity if you may not have obtained the points or grades needed for direct entry onto the undergraduate degree or who need greater time to prepare for UK education. A typical offer to undertake the STEM International Foundation Year course is lower than the requirements for direct entry onto the full degree course. Successful completion will allow progression onto the first year of your chosen degree.
In addition, the University is also launching a host of International Year One degree courses to provide enhanced support, starting with four weeks of intensive English language and academic skills development, before you begin the academic modules.
Support will continue throughout the first year with the emphasis on equipping you with the skills needed to succeed in your studies. Successful completion will allow you to progress to the second year of the degree programme. These programmes are also aimed at students who are not able to gain direct entry into year 1. The International Year One courses will be jointly run by the School of Business and the Centre for International Training and Education (CITE) at the University.
