International foundation pathway programmes

STEM International Foundation Year

  • General Secondary Education certificate (Thanaweya/Tawjihi) with average of 75% including relevant subjects, Maths and a Science (Science subject dependant on pathway chosen).

Undergraduate (Bachelor's) degrees

If you are studying A-levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB) then you can begin from the first year of a Bachelor's degree.

We do accept students transferring from an undergraduate degree at a recognised Saudi institution, subject to assessment. Please contact us to discuss your circumstances.

Postgraduate (Master's) degrees

If you have completed a four-year undergraduate degree (with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.00 or 3.5/5.0 depending on institution) from a recognised institution in Saudi you will be considered for entry to a Master's degree.

PhDs and other research degrees

To apply for a PhD (or other postgraduate research qualification) you must have a four-year undergraduate degree from a recognised institution in Saudi, usually in a related subject area, with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.00 or 3.5/5.0 (depending on institution and the subject that you wish to study) which is equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree (also known as a 2:1).

You must also be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of appropriate research methodologies. Research degrees are demanding and intensive: to succeed at this level you must be highly motivated, be able to work independently, and have an appropriate familiarity with the discipline and its associated research techniques/methodologies.
