A degree in Sociology will give you a thorough grounding in key transferable skills, allowing you to choose from a variety of career paths once you have graduated.

The University of Leicester has a dedicated Careers and Employability Service which provides essential career guidance throughout your study, with opportunities to take part in workshops, one-to-one guidance sessions and Career Fairs. You can also develop your employability skills by taking part in a Leicester Award.

Further study

Many of our graduates go on to further study and often choose to stay here with us at Leicester. We offer a range of postgraduate courses in Sociology, with many of our Masters students continuing on to study for a PhD.
