6. MS 210, Ethiopic manuscript. A decorated border and rubrics helped the reader to navigate the book, marking the start of a new section of text. (Red ink was often used for this purpose).

4. MS 210, Ethiopic manuscript. The first folio contains some drawings and what appears to be a talismanic verse seeking protection from harmful forces. This may have been added by the manuscript's owner.

Dr Bleddyn Bowen, an expert in astropolitics and space policy based in University of Leicester’s HyPIR was interviewed by the BBC Sunday Politics Wales programme and urged the Welsh Government to do more to encourage space sector growth in academia and industry.

We have learned, with sadness, of the death of David Fisher, who was the University’s first Head of Computing. Mr Fisher passed away on 23 November 2024 in a hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. The University extends deepest condolences to his wife Winsome.
