Sporting Leicester students to represent Great Britain

Not one but two Leicester students will be representing Great Britain in international sporting events this summer. The selected students are Ryan Hunt, currently in his second year in Interdisciplinary Science, and Kieran Slater from Physics & Astronomy.

New research that will investigate the possible role of feelings in the mental health difficulties associated with psychotic-spectrum diagnoses such as schizophrenia will be made possible by the first interdisciplinary PhD studentship to be fully funded by the University.

A unique collection of books on German Expressionism from the library of art historian and critic Dr Frank Whitford has been acquired by our University. Dr Frank Whitford was an authority on art of the period, and a senior member of Wolfson College, Cambridge.
