Leicester Masterclass

The Leicester Masterclass forms a key part of the School’s calendar. Through a selection of lectures and dedicated workshops you will be exposed to innovative ideas that build your knowledge of key concepts, alongside building your confidence, study skills and career prospects.  In addition to this this you will have the opportunity to meet tutors and network with fellow students, and alumni from across the globe.

The Leicester Masterclass 2023 is themed around business continuity. As the world we live in seems to lurch from one crisis to another, the Masterclass will explore the ways in which organisations needs to anticipate, and plan for major disruptions.  Changes in the external environment, along with natural and man-made disasters all pose substantial threats to our institutions and our social and economic infrastructure.  By having robust Business Continuity Plans, organisations are better able to mitigate the worst effects of these disruptions, helping to ensure continued production, continued employment and continued contribution to local and national communities.

Working in international teams, you will consider all aspects of business functionality, position these alongside an understanding of potential disruptors and use this understanding to design and devise a Business Continuity Plan.  You will be encouraged to take-away this understanding of business continuity to see how you can make a difference within your own organisations.

Fees: A variety of fee packages are available. The full package, which includes seven nights’ accommodation and catering is £575.  A non-accommodation package is also available at £300.

Accommodation: If you choose the accommodation package accommodation is available at College Court Rooms are standard doubles with ensuite and breakfast included.  Additional guests can be accommodated by emailing ulsb.events@le.ac.uk

Catering: Lunches are provided each day of the Masterclass with evening meals being provided on four evenings.
