Directions and transport
The School of Business’ Brookfield campus is a 20 minute walk from Leicester railway station and sustainable rail travel would be our recommended form of transport to the meeting. We have an online map and the meeting will be clearly signposted from main entrances.
- From Leicester railway station: Brookfield is a 10 minute taxi ride or a 20 minute walk away. Taxis should drop off passengers at the front of Brookfield House. If you are arriving by foot, there are entrances directly off London Road and also via the car park as below.
- Car parking: available at the rear of Brookfield and accessed via Holmfield Road (if you are using a Satnav use the postcode LE2 1SD, as this is different from the building's postcode). Please note that parking is not permitted at the front of Brookfield House. Secure bicycle parking is also available at the rear of Brookfield - a member of staff can help you gain entry.
- Bus services: the 31 and 31A also stop close to Brookfield on London Road, departing from outside Leicester railway station or the Haymarket bus station in the city centre.
- Air travel: East Midlands Airport (EMA) is approximately 40 minutes away from Brookfield and Birmingham (BHX) is just under an hour by taxi. Regular domestic flights are offered from Aberdeen, Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Isle of Man, Jersey, and Knock.
- On arrival, please follow the signage and check in at the conference registration desk.
The School of Business
The University of Leicester School of Business (ULSB) is a global academy for leaders, innovators, and change-makers. Building on over 90 years of delivering business education, we are internationally renowned for our courses in accounting and finance, business and management, economics, and marketing. We conduct pioneering work in partnership with leaders, managers, SMEs and large organisations to develop the knowledge and skills our partners need and to promote responsible business practice. We are ranked 27th in the UK for research power.
ULSB has its own dedicated campus in the heart of the historic Stoneygate Conversation Area in Leicester and located just a 10 minute walk from the central University campus. The original Brookfield House was built in 1846 and was later the residence of Thomas Fielding Johnson, founder of the University of Leicester. Officially opened in January 2022, Brookfield underwent a £16 million redevelopment to provide our students and staff with state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities, study space, offices and a place to come together as a School of Business community.
Brookfield is supported by excellent transport links, easy access to the main campus, student accommodation, and the city centre.
