Teaching
SAPPHIRE group members teach on a number of courses within the University. Our teaching focuses on qualitative methods, and on the contribution of social science to researching and evaluating quality improvement and patient safety. SAPPHIRE members teach on:
SAPPHIRE members supervise Intercalated MSc and BSc research projects, and supervise students on the BSc Biological Sciences.
SAPPHIRE members also teach students on the MBChB about sociological and psychological factors in health and illness.
Ethnography Summer School
We run a Summer School on ethnography for healthcare improvement research. The Summer School is led and facilitated by SAPPHIRE staff, who bring expertise in individual and team ethnography in healthcare.
