Leicester Pride 2018

Leicester Pride is Leicester's own annual LGBT festival, held at the beginning of September each year, celebrating equality and diversity in our community. The event is attended by more 10,000 people, with more than 2,000 taking part in the parade through the city.

There is entertainment and attractions suitable for all ages at this free-to-attend family event. It kicks off at midday with a parade through the city centre leading to the festival site on Victoria Park.

The main stage features live singers, dance acts and cabaret from across the country whilst the DJ tent features the best local DJs. There is a variety of food and drink available and plenty to see and buy in the market stalls area. A selection of fairground rides and games are also provided by Billy Bates & Sons fun fair.

The University of Leicester is proud to support and attend Leicester Pride. You will find us in the Leicester LGBT Centre tent.
