Dr Vaios Koutroukas

I am a Diabetes & Endocrinology registrar and a clinical research fellow working at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. My interests include diabetes technology, medical education, and management of hypoglycaemia in people with insulin-treated diabetes. Currently I am running CLEAR in Leicester, the largest study on hypoglycaemia unawareness to date, investigating the impact of hybrid closed loop systems in restoring awareness against psychoeducational interventions (HypoCOMPaSS and HARPdoc). I am a member of the Academy of Medical Educators.
