Thomas Furniss

I am a sociologist and health ethnographer with an interest in NHS workforce wellbeing and using methods such as Video Reflexive Ethnography (VRE) to study and improve healthcare practice. My PhD was “Investigating Video Reflexive Ethnography as a healthcare quality improvement methodology” and with Prof. Damien Rolland I have used VRE to study safety netting advice in a Paediatric ED. At present I am working on the NHS workforce wellbeing project in SAPPHIRE.
