Profile

I am a specialist in constitutional theory and British constitutional history. I have a particular interest in influence of culture and values in constitutionalism (broadly understood). This stems from my PhD which examined the influence of Protestant Reformation thinking on constitutional thought in the so-called ‘Glorious’ Revolution.

I joined Leicester from Kent Law School in August 2022 where I had previously been a lecturer and completed my PhD.

Research

I am an interdisciplinary law and humanities researcher, interested in how culture and values shape constitutional formation and development. In my research I draw on both my expertise in constitutional theory and my previous study of archaeology. I have previously published on both law and literature critiques of constitutional values and legal design research methodology.

I am currently completing a law and literature critique of current understandings of constitution and jurisdiction as applied to digital spaces.
