Profile
After a PhD in mathematical physics and a short stint as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Tuebingen (Germany), I started a career as an actuary for an insurance company in Germany and qualified as a Fellow of the DAV (German actuarial association). I spent around 9 years working as an actuary. In 2023, I joined the University of Leicester as a Lecturer in Actuarial Science. Since 2024 I am the Programme Director of the Msc in Actuarial Science with Data Analytics.

In the academic year 2025-2026, I teach Fundamentals of Data Science ( MA7419 / MA4419 / MA3419) and Actuarial Modelling 2 (MA2405 / MA7405).
