Dr Scott Willis joined the Leicester Lifestyle and Health Research Group within the Diabetes Research Centre as a Research Fellow in 2025. His research broadly focuses on exercise physiology, nutrition, and metabolic health. He investigates novel mechanisms linking obesity to related metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), and explores how lifestyle and pharmacological interventions can be combined to prevent, manage, and treat these diseases.
